Invitation to Review Draft Protocol and Provide Feedback

The ADAPTABLE study is the first pragmatic randomized trial to be conducted through PCORI funded National Patient-Centered Clinical Research Network (PCORnet). PCORnet aims to conduct widely generalizable observational and interventional research quickly and at low cost based on a foundation of electronic medical records and administrative simplicity. In collaboration with patients, clinicians and health systems, PCORnet promises to enhance the nation’s capacity to conduct much-needed health outcomes studies with greater impact on patient-centered outcomes than is now possible.  As the first pragmatic clinical trial in PCORnet, the ADAPTABLE study serves as a key demonstration of PCORNet’s operational capabilities in addressing a major public health question.

The ADAPTABLE study is based on a model of stakeholder engagement, open science and broadly sharing knowledge. As such, the ADAPTABLE team hopes to refine the protocol and enhance engagement for the trial by collecting advice or feedback on key aspects of the study from the patient, clinical and research communities. In addition to improving the protocol and study conduct, we hope this will instill a spirit of collaboration in keeping with PCORnet’s desire to be a national resource promoting patient-centered research with transparency. To that end, we invite you to review and provide comments on the draft ADAPTABLE research protocol. We have developed an ADAPTABLE Protocol Survey (seven questions) about the protocol design. We value and appreciate your opinion. Thank you in advance for your feedback. Results from the survey will be made available on this website.
